Came here with an old friend, we ended up staying for three hours, and we're the last to leave with a large margin. What kept us so long was the great food, the excellent service, and an atmosphere that invites long discussions. Everything on the menu looked so good, and made it hard to pick. I decided to go for scallops on risotto, and finish with a variation on New York Cheesecake. OMG, it was all soooo good. Will be back soon!

Alameda’s best new restaurant! What a treat. From the caviar to the chocolate pot, everything was divine. Chef Jason Ryczek brings elevated dining to this comfortable new spot. Safely distanced and toasty outdoors with even more potential when indoor opens back up. We enjoyed the trout, wild mushroom soup, spicy crab pasta, caviar, lemon bar, and chocolate to finish! Not to mention yummy cocktails and fitting wine list. Thanks for a great night!

What a wonderful surprise! Welcomed with warm hospitality and customer service- even on the busiest of days. Seems so rare to authentically be welcomed into a restaurant or business in the current environment. People were overflowing- lines out the door. Staff being kind and caring; going above & beyond to offer attentive service to the patrons filling the tables. Service took time. The kitchen was pushed to the max. Even so... the plates coming out were piping hot, beautifully plated and quality. We ordered the steak, olive oil & chive mashed potatoes with broccolini. Melt in your mouth, distinct flavors. Absolutely outstanding. The food & cocktail menu is fresh and creative! But, I go back to the people: the staff. As a business owner, I know that the heart of any business comes right down to the people. Sitting at the bar gave me a birds eye view of the dance, the hustle and the care put into each order, each customer and each table. Hiccups happen. But, how the recovery happens shows the true culture within the restaurant. The leadership and the staff that was giving their all at every moment... with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant. Alley& Vine will truly be my go to when visiting Alameda. Restaurants this caliber are a rare gem. Bravo!

Recent reviews were mixed, but it was a good experience for us. The location outside below the stairs and next to the parking was actually cosy with the decorations, very atypical at night. Food was good, even if you can expect more at this price. Service was nice.

Alley and Vine in Alameda offers a delightful culinary experience that tantalizes the taste buds. The cioppino and ribeye steak were exceptional, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The calamari, perfectly cooked with a light, crunchy batter, was a standout appetizer that left us craving for more. The cocktail menu impressed us with its creativity, and the 'Very Sexy Martini' quickly became my wife's favorite. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was attentive, making our dining experience truly memorable. Alley and Vine is a must-visit for anyone seeking exquisite cuisine and top-notch cocktails in Alameda.

While documenting restaurants for Alameda Restaurant Week, I spent time at Alley & Vine photographing their standout offerings. I was impressed by their tomahawk steak - probably one of the best steak deals I've seen anywhere. The place is surprisingly family friendly despite its upscale appearance. They maintain a great wine selection that complements their menu perfectly. What's interesting is how it feels like a cross between classic Alameda and going to San Francisco - warm and cozy yet has an artistic elegance to it. The food is underrated for sure, delivering quality and presentation you might not expect.

Alley & Vine was a wonderful take-home experience. The food is delicate, the acids are well balanced, textures are pleasing. Containers were meticulously labeled ensuring you don't dip your french dip sandwich in the salad's vinaigrette. It's nice to see some elevated food coming to Alameda which definitely needs it. Will order from them again soon. Support your local restaurants!
